Pakistan has beaten Australian in the first T20 by 23 runs. Batting first Pakistan puts up a total of 167. Thanks to Umer Akmal who proved his selection right once again. Green Shirts were 47/4 at 7th Over when Umer Akmal came in. Instead of playing slowly he adopted an aggressive approach going after Australia making 64 of just 31 with 3 towering sixes and 7 fours. Dirk Nannes 2/41 and Shaun Tait 2/25 were the considerable performances.

In reply David Warner goes after Pakistani bowlers especially speed star Shoaib Akhtar. Shoaib conceded 34 runs in just 2 overs putting a lot of pressure on the other bowler but brilliant bowling from Ajmal, Aamir and Umer Gul and exceptional fielding from Skipper Shahid Afridi bring Pakistan back into the game. David Warner (41) and David Hussey (34) were the considerable run scorers. Ajmal 3/26, Aamir 3/27 and Gul 2/13 were the pick of the bowelrs.

MoM :- Umer Akmal 64 of 31    4×7 6×3
