Australia have beaten Pakistan by 34 runs in the WC group A match at St Lucia. Batting first Australia puts on 191 runs. Pakistan fielders played a vital role by dropping 3 catches. Shane Watson who scored 81 runs of just 49 balls with 4×7 and 6×4 was dropped twice by Misbah-ul-Haq. David Hussey who scored 53 of just 29 balls with 4×2 and 6×5 was dropped by Salman Butt early in his innings. He then hit 4 sixes in M.Sami’s one over. 5 wickets were fallen in Muhammad Aamir’s last over. Muhammad Aamer and Saeed Ajmal was pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each

In reply Pakistani Batsmen  tried hard but none of them was able to play a match winning innings. Misbah-ul-Haq’s 41 runs and Shahid Afridi’s 33 runs were just not enough for Pakistan. DP Nannes and Shaun Tait clinches 3 wickets each.
